TSS Watchstraps Customer feedback for watch straps and accessories

The comments below were very kindly sent in by TSS customers following a purchase.

Recognising that we inhabit an increasingly cynical world where not everything you read can be believed I'd just like to say that every comment posted is 100% genuine and I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to send me your comments, opinions and feedback!

As much as I would like to, there are simply not enough hours in each day to respond to every email personally but please be assured your feedback is always appreciated and most welcome ! If your feedback is not seen below it's not that it's been overlooked, it'll simply be that there's only so much information that can be included here before information overload, shameless bragging, or both, can be tolerated on one web page, ie. this one.

While striving to provide a first class service / experience to every TSS customer I have to admit that TSS is run by humans and therefore we do occasionally make mistakes. If your experience falls short of your expectations I want to hear about it and will make every effort to put things right quickly in the rare event that things don't go quite as smoothly as we'd all like them to.

*While many customers have commented on the speed of delivery (ie. receipt of their order) I'm afraid I can't accept all credit for this personally as actual delivery is handled by Royal Mail or in the case of international deliveries one of the many collaborating overseas postal services. Having said that, it is always helpful to receive feedback on how quickly your package arrives in order to monitor and provide expected delivery times that are as accurate as possible at point of dispatch (an email confirming every dispatch is sent to the email address supplied with your payment on the day your item(s) are packed and handed over to Royal Mail).

As stated elsewhere on this web site orders are dispatched same day whenever possible and always within 48 hours (Bank Holidays and weekends excepted). In the rare event that your order is not available for dispatch within the times indicated above you will be notified of this via email and given the opportunity to cancel your order for immediate refund if the estimated dispatch time is inconvenient for you.

One ‘T20’ 20mm stainless steel bracelet.

Ordered Monday 2nd August, arrived 1st post Tuesday 3rd August 9-30a.m.

Absolutely excellent service and superb quality and value.

This was to replace the bracelet on my Omega Speedmaster Professional MkII which I bought new in 1971. This was fitted with an Omega 1159 pattern bracelet which is now unobtainable and neither are any extra links. The replacement is Omega ref. 022ST1162173, at a recently quoted price of £123.00. The T20 is now fitted to the watch and looks brilliant, personally I think better than the original, but unfortunately is still too small. I spoke to Mark on Tuesday about this and he asked me to send you an E mail to confirm my request for four additional links which I understand will cost £10. This will be perfectly O.K.. I have ( Ihope ) attached a photograph of the watch with the new T20 bracelet which I am quite happy for you to use should you desire.

Some months ago, I bought a couple of G10 straps. Have to say they weren't the cheapest but the quality has more than justified the cost.

I have just come back from some 'very hot climes' and the watch straps were filthy and very smelly. I popped them into a saucepan of water with some soap powder and boiled them for 10 minutes. No colour run, no shrinkage, no rust and no longer smelly! What else can I say?

Thanks Steven ! The XR Alligator is a favourite of mine too ! So far sales have been (surprisingly) relatively slow but I think once enough people have seen one this will change. Nothing I've seen from other European manufacturers come close at two or three times the price imho. I hope to have 18mm and 22mm sizes made later this year. Just recieved an 18mm T28 strap from you. Just like my last purchase, it arrived very quickly with good clear communication from you. The strap looks fantastic with my Colt Automatic and the quality is certainly as impressive as you describe it. The only other strap I have seen that I fancied was an £880 Breitling Pilot. This looks and feels pretty much its equal and I saved myself £855......

Hi Ken, I bought the TSS 'Classic Crocodile' Grain Leather Watchstrap 16mm from TSS the other week.

Just to say: Many thanks for a very impressive , efficient and quality service. The strap to me looks perfect on my Mondaine Swiss Railways watch.

The original strap was just a bit too simplistic for my tastes, and this one just adds that extra look and feel of quality that the watch desrerves.

I have enclosed a couple of pics showing the strap fitted.

Hi Ken, I just received my 'Aviator Chrono' in black with satin buckle and it is now fitted to my 1973 Navitimer.

What an excellent strap, great value and sets my watch off perfectly.
Who needs a Breitling buckle? Certainly not at Breitling prices.

Dear Ken,

We spoke the other week about leather watch straps and the issue I have with sensitive skin, and the past problems I have had with TAG leather straps. I would like to thank you for your advice and reassurance with your straps.

I ordered the 'CS Titan' Double Thickness strap last weekend and I received it on the Tuesday. The delivery time was very good and fast.

The strap looks great on my TAG Carrera watch, and I am using the supplied buckle, as opposed to the TAG buckle, as it looks good.

I have worn the strap for two days now and to-date I have had no skin problems. I will let you know how I get on.

The straps arrived safely today. The Tacoma is superb and has gone straight on the watch I had chosen it for. I already had a suitable push button Beck deployant clasp. I really, really like the Tacoma. What a surprise gem the Di-Modell is, I had wrongly assumed that the stitching would be anthracite like some of the designs I have seen. This is a spectacular strap for Panarai, LARGE Breitlings like the Seawolf and Chrono Avenger, Hurcules and Emergency; it also looks very like the strap fitted to Raymond Weil Tango and Don Giovani ranges. As you can tell I am impressed ! Instead of returning it I would very much like to buy it . Please let me know if this is ok and confirm the cost.

I've had the Tacoma straps for about 18 months and interest (and sales) while steady were unremarkable for such a nice strap - I'm pleased that the Tacoma has won another friend out there. Stock is now very limited and I don't plan to restock the Tacoma so you just caught one of the last - I've got about fifteen left as of July 1st.

Just to let you know I fitted the strap fine last night. I had to use the 21mm springbars as the 22mm just wouldn't compress quite enough. The strap suits the IWC down to the ground - far preferable to the original alligator one supplied as the watch needs the extra bulk that the Chrono XT gives it.

The Tag Heuer Formula 1 is a difficult watch to find a non oem strap for. The 'TT MkII' and 'Sil-Tech' straps work very well with the Formula 1's covered lug fitting.

I ordered one of these straps about 3 years ago and it's been the best one I've ever had (not to mention one of the cheapest) - it's only just starting to show it's age after being worn every day in that time. Looks great on my IWC Mark XII (the original IWC strap only lasted about a year and they cost over £70 to replace not including the buckle!).

Thanks David - a good quality butterfly deployment clasp really doesn't have to cost any more than this unless you absolutely must have a major brand logo on it and are prepared to pay significantly more for the logo than the deployment itself . . .

Thanks for the straps which were there when I got home yesterday.

I think you have a great site and you do what you do very well, so don't
overspend on stock and jeopardise it. Because of the superb photography the
site is stunning to look at and perhaps you just need to get it used more.
I wonder how many people think they have to go to a shop to change their
watch strap when it is actually so easy to do it yourself?

Good luck. I'll keep an eye open for the metal bracelets when they arrive.
I am interested because I was quoted almost £1,000 for a bracelet in
stainless steel to match my IWC watch! Instead I use your padded strap
which is far better than the standard IWC strap.

All arrived safely yesterday.

G10 is perfect - excellent quality and nice soft touch in comparison to others. The shoulderless bars are on the Ollech & Wajs as is the G10. Perfect!

The silicone rubber is also excellent - the Orsa divers watch for my wife arrived today and it already has the strap attached. It feels so much better than other divers straps and more flexible too - again, perfect!

I can say without a shadow of doubt that your products were at least the equal of the Omega OEM items. I'll stick with your products thanks very much. Expect some more orders fairly soon, and thanks again for your exemplary products and service and, of course, the extra bars.

Re the Omega story - sooner or later Omega owners (among others) will twig to just how much they are being ripped off on the 'oe' strap front. But then again, many 'oe' buyers are more than happy to bask in the kudos garnered by being seen to have the disposable income required to make such a purchase (whatever floats your boat I suppose).

I have just ordered another watch strap from you, I received the one I ordered last week, excellent as usual, unfortunately the strap was the wrong width, not your fault but the person I bought the watch off (ebay) said it was 20mm and it is in fact 18mm. This is not a problem as I will keep for one of my other watches, however I wondered if there was any chance of you posting this one today in the hope it may be delivered in the morning. Not much chance given the postal service these days but if you could I would be most grateful.

Ordered one of your watch-straps yesterday (Speedmaster). It arrived
this morning and is now happily attached to my Omega Speedmaster.

The strap looks extremely well made and appears to be equal or superior
to the OEM one it's replaced. I expect you're well aware of the sort of
silly prices I've paid Omega in the past. The last straw was being
asked to pay a whopping 240gbp for the original OEM replacement.

Over the years, I've tried various jewellers for replacement straps and
been continually disappointed, crawling back and paying for the Omega
one.

I'm so glad I found your website and wish you every success with it. I
very much like the look and feel, nicely categorised and laid out.

Just to let you know that I got the straps OK. They are great - the blue one in particular is a perfect match for the citizen navihawk (blue angels). It has a very dark blue bezel and the blue strap makes the watch appear much classier.
